Apathy zone
Low safety, low standards: disengagement, quiet quitting
Anxiety zone
Low safety, high standards: results with attrition, silence about problems

How to use it
Edmondson's core: safety is not comfort; it is permission to be candid IN SERVICE of high standards. For a mission-first organization the sell is that the learning zone is the caring option: comfort-zone kindness quietly cheats customers and employees of growth. Measure it with your own items on candour and on goal clarity, then cross the two.
